On October 15, hotel rates in Ahmedabad increased by an amount of more than 20. On game days, the ITC Welcome Hotel in Ahmedabad charges Rs 72,000. On the day of the match, many other hotels in the city, including TC Narmada and Courtyard by Marriott, were completely booked.

Dr Paras Shah, who works at a city hospital, said “People are demanding overnight stay in hospitals to save money on accommodation”. He Added, “fans are ready to stay in any room from deluxe to suite to watch the Indo-Pak match. Our hospital has limited rooms, hence we are careful in accepting advance bookings from NRIs. We do not want the needy to not get a room”.

The ICC World Cup 2023 will begin on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad, the largest cricket stadium in the world, in addition to the first match between India and Pakistan. The defending champions England and New Zealand will square off in the opening game. On November 19, this stadium will host the World Cup’s championship game.
