Vivo IPL 2021: Defending champions of the IPL, Mumbai Indians (MI) has made a big move ahead of the IPL 2021 second half. The franchise has recently added former Indian cricketer Ranganath Vinay Kumar as a new talent scout for the franchise.
The 37-years old cricketer has represented team India in all three international formats. The veteran bowler has 48 ODI wickets, 10 T20I wickets and one Test wicket under his hat.
Moreover, the pacer took his domestic side Karnataka to two Ranji Trophy titles and has clipped off 504 first-class wickets. Vinay Kumar has also won the two IPL titles with Mumbai Indians (MI) back in 2015 and 2017.
Now the cricketer has been appointed as the talent scout, he will work closely with the management of the most successful IPL franchise.
The veteran said he is very excited to work with Mumbai Indians (MI) and is ready to open a new chapter in his life.
“I am honoured for this opportunity to associate with Mumbai Indians again. Mumbai Indians strives for excellence in every aspect of the game, and scouting talents is undoubtedly their key strength. It’s a new chapter and personally, I reckon it as an opportunity for me to give back to cricket,” Vinay said.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians (MI) added wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel as a talent scout. Patel has also been part of the MI squad for three years.
