In a  Major Development ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction, New Zealand star player and former captain Kane Williamson Joins Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). He joined the team as a strategic advisor for the upcoming season in the Indian Premier League.

​As per the media reports, LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka was not happy with Zaheer Khan’s performance as a mentor in the last edition of the Indian Premier League. There are speculations that Zaheer might step down from the mentor’s role.

​The franchise is making some critical changes to the team management ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction. Apart from Kane Williamson, England’s former cricketer Carl Crowe will likely be appointed as LSG’s spin bowling coach.
