Ishan Kishan sends strong message to Ajit Agarkar for an ODI return after T20I comeback
Indian batter Ishan Kishan continued his domination in domestic cricket for Jharkhand after he was recalled for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 and the five-match T20I series against New Zealand by the Indian selectors. Kishan got this massive opportunity after having led his team, Jharkhand, to a title triumph in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Ishan Kishan already came off a successful season in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025. With 500+ runs and two centuries under his belt, he continued his peak form into the Vijay Hazare Trophy. With a total of five centuries, he now has the joint highest number of hundreds in the T20 tournament alongside Abhishek Sharma.

Devdutt Padikkal's century ruins Jharkhand's VHT opener
After a massive target of 413 runs was set by the Jharkhand side in the opening game of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Karnataka was never thought to have pulled in one of the most iconic chases in the history of Indian cricket.
The Mayank Agarwal-led side chased down the 413-run target with 15 balls and 5 wickets remaining. Handing the team a stunning start in the innings, opener Devdutt Padikkal scored 147 runs off 118 balls. The record innings came while chasing, which handed Karnataka a platform early in the chase.
Later, Abhinav Manohar and Dhruv Prabhakar finished the innings with 56 and 40 runs, respectively, at the end. Padikkal was also named the player of the match in the game, ruining the efforts from Ishan Kishan and the rest of the Jharkhand batters.
