In what has been the latest development as per the reports in Cricbuzz, it is learned that Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is all set to be kick start from 24th January. The reports suggested that the final of the tournament is all set to take place on 26th March.
There could be some concerns related to the schedule of the league because general elections are slated to take place in India at that time. With this around, it is learned that BCCI is discreetly considering holding the tournament in the window between March 22 and May 26.
However, the office confirmation will only come once the dates for elections are announced. The reports claimed that BCCI has got assurance from all the cricket boards that players will be available for the full league. However, some players might leave early because of the T20 World Cup 2024, which will begin from the 1st June.
IPL 2024 will be the 17th edition of the league and it promises to be an exciting season. The auction of the league recently took place and it saw enthralling bids with Mitchell Starc acquiring INR 24.75 crore and Pat Cummins getting INR 20.5 crore.
Apart from this, Hardik Pandya too was traded to Mumbai Indians from Gujarat Titans. The all-rounder will be captaining the team in the tournament as the franchise sacked Rohit Sharma as a skipper and announced Hardik as the new captain for the IPL 2024.

WPL 2024 to kick start days before IPL 2024
Apart from the development of IPL 2024, the reports also suggested that the Women Premier League will begin from 22nd March. The final of the tournament will be played on 17th March and the BCCI has conveyed that to all the stakeholders.
The league will be hosted in Bengaluru and Delhi. The official announcement relayed to the same will be announced in a day or two, most likely on Monday.
