IPL 2024 Auction: A total of 1166 players from all corners of the world have registered for the upcoming Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Auctions. Of those 1166 players, 339 are foreign players, who have tried their luck for the bidding which is set to be held on December 19 in Dubai.
Several big wig players, who did extremely well in the recently held ICC ODI World Cup 2023, have enrolled themselves to go under the hammer. The list includes the likes of Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Travis Head, who were part of Australia’s World Cup 2023 winning squad in India.
The other key players who have enrolled for the auction are – Harry Brook (England), Gerald Coetzee (South Africa), Harshal Patel (India), Steve Smith (Australia), and Shardul Thakur among others. All the players above have set their names at the base price of INR 2 Crores.
The BCCI offers multiple minimum price brackets for the players as they register in the IPL auction proceedings. The highest being INR 2 Crores, followed by INR 1.5 Crore, 1 Crore, 75 Lakhs and so on.
Of the total 1166 players enrolled for the auctions, 830 are domestic and 339 are overseas players. Of those, 212 are capped players (Players who have debuted for their national team), 909 are uncapped (Players who are yet to play for their national side) and 45 Players are from associate nations.
