Tata IPL 2022 playoffs likely to be held in Ahmedabad and Lucknow: Reports: The fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has begun and we have already seen a fantastic week of cricket amongst the 10 IPL teams. Just 11 games have been held so far, but we have already witnessed several high scoring fixtures along with low scoring thrillers.

As the tournament steps into its second week, all the franchises will look to level up their game and fetch healthy wins for the team. While a couple of franchises have kickstarted their campaign with wins, a few of them are struggling to get their first win of the season.

The likes of Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) are on a roll as they have already sealed two wins from two matches in the Tata IPL 2022. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) are still searching for their opening win of the season.

Meanwhile, reports have emerged that the playoffs of the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 will be held in Ahmedabad and Lucknow jointly. Earlier, Ahmedabad was the sole contender to host the final four games of the IPL 2022, however, Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium has come into the picture.

Notably, fans welcomed Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans as the two new teams in the IPL 2022.

“Since Lucknow and Ahmedabad have joined this year it would be great if playoff matches can be held in Lucknow and Ahmedabad respectively. This is what we have discussed few days back. Some of the officials are on the same page of thought and soon we will have our meeting and if everything goes as discussed then you might see Lucknow and Ahmedabad host the playoff matches,” a source said while speaking to Sports Tak.

Currently, Mumbai and Pune are the two cities hosting all the league stage matches of the Tata IPL 2022. Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai and Maharashtra Cricket Association International Stadium in Pune are hosting all the 70 league games of the cash-rich IPL 2022.
