India vs Pakistan in Colombo! T20 World Cup 2026 Venues & Dates are Finalised

As per Express Sports, the T20 World Cup 2026 dates are locked, and it is likely to be played between February 07, 2026, to March 08, 2026. India and Sri Lanka are the host nations for this marquee event. Bengaluru is expected to host the warm-up matches before the main ICC event. However, ICC is set to release the official T20 World Cup 2026 Schedule in the coming days.

However, All three venues in Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai are shortlisted for the semi-finals, and no particular will host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Final; it is yet to be finalised by BCCI.

The 2023 ODI World Cup Final was also organised at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, it is there largest cricket stadium in the world and the top favourite for hosting the grand finale.

One of the interesting updates is that if Pakistan or Sri Lanka reach the semi-finals, then their knockout match will be hosted in Colombo. Similarly, if India and Pakistan are facing each other in the semifinal round, then the match will be played in Sri Lanka, not in India.

Due to the current geopolitical tensions between the two nations, neither India nor Pakistan travels to the other's nation to play cricket matches. All of Pakistan’s matches in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 were hosted in Sri Lanka, not India.
