The India VS Australia 2023 series is getting worse for the Australian squad. The list of injuries is getting longer by the minute. Josh Hazlewood, who was expected to be a part of the 3rd Test to be played in Indore, has been ruled out of the India VS Australia 2023 series. He will be heading back to Australia with Pat Cummins, who has momentarily gone back to Australia as there is a serious health issue in his family.

David Warner is likely to miss the 3rd Test too as he is nursing a blow that he got on the elbow in the India VS Australia 2023 2nd Test match. The bowler was Mohammed Siraj. Here is an in-depth look at the same:

Josh Hazlewood is having a difficult phase in his career. The Australian pacer was at the peak of his career. He was ranked number 1 in the T20 bowlers’ ranking and was doing wonders for Australia with the red ball too. One can never forget him rattling the Indian batting line-up in Adelaide and wrapping them up for 36 runs only.

But since November 2022, he has been nursing an Achilles Tendon injury. He has been ruled out since the New Year’s test match against South Africa. Australia does have immense fast bowling depth but the absence of a champion player like Hazlewood can never be recovered.

The list of injuries is increasing in the Australian camp. This can ruin their plans for the India VS Australia 2023 series. David Warner, the star left-handed opener is nursing an elbow injury. He had injured his elbow when Mohammed Siraj bowled a fiery spell at him in the first innings of the 2nd Test match played at Delhi. One of the balls took off the pitch and hit Warner hard on the elbow.

He was ruled out of the game too and Matt Renshaw was his concussion substitute. But it is expected that the injury will take time to recover, and David Warner will fly back to Australia for the same. The Nine, an Australian news outlet reported that Matt Renshaw and Ashton Agar are also carrying injuries.

But on the positive side of the news, two of the most crucial players are back in the squad for the Australian team for the India VS Australia 2023 series. Mitchell Starc who had stress fractures is likely to be back in action in Indore. Starc and his pace are very well-known. His presence will add immense value to the pace battery. Starc will join forces with Pat Cummins.

Cameron Green, the young, tall, batting-allrounder is also likely to be a part of the playing XI. Both players have completed their rehabilitation. Mitchell Swepson, the leg spinner from Australia is also back. He had gone back to Australia last week due to the birth of his kid. His can also be Australia’s trump card to take India apart.
