On the second day, Indian bowlers took a decent lead of 53 runs but Australians made their comeback after dismissing Prithwi Shaw early in the second innings of India.



On day three, none of the Indian players could touch the double-digit mark as Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood registered their four and five wickets respectively.



At one stage, India was on verge of setting the lowest total of the cricketing history but Hanuma Vihari?s boundary saved Team India from the darkest page of Cricketing history.



Indian batsmen were completely exposed by the extra bounce generated by the Australian seamers who played a major role in the collapse of Indian batting.



After a flop show in the first test, the whole series looks in danger. Management will have to make a perfect combination of the players as Virat Kohli will be leaving Australia after the test and Virat?s absence will be huge for Australia.

Vivo IPL 2021: Australian premier pacer who was the part of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has pulled his name back from the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. The pacer said that he wants to remain fresh and in a good frame for Australia?s upcoming schedules in the international format.



With this, he becomes the third Australian cricketer to pull back after Josh Phillippe and Mitchell Marsh.



The 30-years old cricketer is in and out of the bio-bubbles since last years IPL fixtures. Starting with Chennai Super Kings bio bubble in IPL 2020 to get in Australia national teams bubble. He said he wants to be physically and mentally fit for the packed Australian year ahead.



"It's been a long 10 months in bubbles and quarantine at different times, so I decided to have a rest from cricket and spend some time at home and in Australia in the next two months," Hazlewood told cricket.com.au. "We've got a big winter ahead too. The West Indies is going to be a long tour, with Bangladesh (T20 tour) potentially thrown at the end of that.

Josh Hazlewood featured in three games for CSK last year in UAE, as MS Dhoni used his domestic options along with the combo of Sam Curran and Dwayne Bravo. This time too, MS would opt to go for domestic options with Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur on the cards along with Sam Curran and Dwayne Bravo.

Vivo IPL 2021: The three-time champions, Chennai Super Kings have found themselves in a bit of trouble, 5 days prior to the Indian Premier League opener. With Aussie pacer Josh Hazlewood pulling back from the IPL 2021, CSK has found it tricky to rope in any replacement for the pacer.



As per the reports of Times of India, Chennai management has reached out to English left-arm speedster Reece Topley and Aussie paceman Billy Stanlake for the replacement of Hazlewood. ?Many of them have contracts with English county teams and the permissions aren?t forthcoming due to the rising number of Covid cases. We may have to go for a wildcard and may get one soon enough. But the problems do persist,? a source close to the development was quoted as saying to The Times of India (TOI).



Three of the Indian cricketers have been tested covid-positive till now. The list includes Nitish Rana, Axar Patel and Devdutt Padikkal. Moreover, one member from the CSK content team and 10 groundstaff along with six event managers of Wankhede Stadium have also fallen prey to the virus.



<h2>Hazlewood wants to be fit for Ashes:</h2>



Aussie pacer said that he wants to be mentally and physically fit for the Ashes Series 2021 later this year and he has been tanned with bubble fatigue over the last couple of months. Australian national side has packed season ahead in 2021 and Hazlewood wants his body to play all these.

The final test of the ongoing Ashes is scheduled to be held in Bellerive Oval, Hobart, starting January 14.&nbsp;



Meanwhile, England has further damaged their chances to avoid the complete whitewash as two of their premier wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow have sustained blows. Despite suffering injury, Bairstow?s gritty innings fetched England?s first hundred in the ongoing Ashes.

Glenn Maxwell, Josh Hazlewood to be available for RCB in IPL 2022 from April 9: The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be able to get the services of premier all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and pacer Josh Hazlewood from its upcoming matches. Maxwell has already completed his mandatory quarantine in Mumbai, however, due to Cricket Australia?s clause of not letting its contracted players participate in the overseas leagues, Maxwell won?t be able to play RCB?s match against RR.



Australia is currently touring Pakistan and will face the home side in the one-off T20I match on April 5. Meanwhile, Josh Hazlewood is learnt to have asked for a short break before he joins Royal Challengers Bangalore post his national duties against Pakistan which will end on April 5.&nbsp;



Hazlewood would join RCB in the next couple of days, after completing his short break, and will undergo mandatory three days quarantine before he meets his RCB mates.



?Hazlewood would be joining the team in the next couple of days. Unlike others, he didn?t directly link up with his franchise post-Pakistan series. He has taken a short break due to personal reasons,? an IPL source was quoted as saying by News18.



The Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is facing Rajasthan Royals (RR) in its third match in the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. RCB has won the toss and opted to field first.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore have had a relatively successful campaign in the IPL 2022 season. The<a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/ipl-2022-royal-challengers-bangalore-rcb-squad-2022-playing-11-schedule/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> RCB </a>management has tried many players and has given opportunities to all the youngsters. However, there are a few players that have been warming the bench too and might be released. The RCB management will be looking forward to the IPL 2023 Auction and will be keen on filling the voids of their squad. So, here is a look at the top 5 players that RCB might release before IPL 2023:&nbsp;



<h2>1) Anuj Rawat might be Released by RCB:&nbsp;</h2>

This move did pay off in the initial phase of the tournament. Anuj was firing well. He was playing his illustrious cover drives and was dealing well with the short balls. Anuj hails from Delhi. However, he did struggle in the final few games until Rajat Patidar eventually replaced him. Ever since Rajat?s arrival he hasn?t given the RCB management a chance to think of any change. &nbsp;



The RCB management will now have to pick between both the players. They can still back Anuj and keep him along with the team. But this will keep him from the opportunities that he could get in other teams. So, it would be great for both the parties if they parted ways. Anuj scored 129 runs in 8 games.&nbsp;







<h2>2) Siddhart Kaul might be Released by Royal Challengers Bangalore:&nbsp;</h2>

The last game of the season saw the RCB management picking Siddhart Kaul in place of <a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/mohammad-siraj-looks-more-assured-than-before-growing-in-confidence-zaheer-khan/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mohammad Siraj.</a> But Kaul was leaking runs. He gave 43 runs in his quota of 4 overs. Also, he remained wicketless. Miyan Magic, on the other hand, has had a decent season. Siddhart doesn?t have age on his side because as a fast bowler you have effective time till 34 or 35. Siddhart is 33 now. He does have a truck-load of experience. &nbsp;



He can add value to any other team that is keen on working with youngsters and Siddhart can give his expertise to those younger boys. Not writing him off because he is a champion bowler and had made a comeback to the national team back in 2019. He still has the variations and the skill-set.&nbsp;







<h2>3) Karn Sharma:&nbsp;</h2>

What doesn?t work in Karn?s favor is the fact that he is a one-dimensional player. He can certainly bat at number 8 but that is in the longer formats. Also, Glenn Maxwell and Shabaz Ahmed are giving 3 to 4 overs regularly. RCB spinners have picked a cumulative of 34 wickets this season. The second most by any team after RR. So, Karn has very slim chances of making it to the 11. &nbsp;



Sharma can be drafted by any of the teams like<a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/ipl-2022-punjab-kings-pbks-squad-2022-playing-11-schedule/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Punjab Kings</a> or Mumbai Indians who genuinely need a good spinner. Punjab has Rahul Chahar but there is no other bowler to compliment him. Mumbai on the other hand was struggling and had to bring in Kumar Kartikeya. Karn is an experienced campaigner and has a lot to offer. &nbsp;







<h2>4) David Willey/Jason Behrendorff might be Released by Royal Challengers Bangalore:&nbsp;</h2>

However, he has been pretty unexposed. With almost every player getting opportunities only Finn Allen and Aneeshwar Gautam didn?t get an opportunity. If RCB do not want him, they can let him go. IND vs AUS: Josh Hazlewood to miss India vs Australia 1st test in Nagpur: Days ahead to the start of the most-anticipated India vs Australia test series, the visitors faced a setback in the form of an injury to one of their key pacers, Josh Hazlewood. The Aussie pacer is yet to recover from his Achilles injury, which he suffered during Australia's last test assignment against South Africa.



As per the reports, Hazlewood would miss the 1st India vs Australia test in Nagpur, while he is also a doubtful starter for the second test in Delhi. The pacer now joins his bowling partner Mitchell Starc (likely to miss 1st test due to a finger injury) and all-rounder Cameron Green (unlikely to bowl until the second test in Delhi due to a finger injury) in the casualty list.



Josh Hazlewood is also inactive in the pre-series camp in Bengaluru's Alur, where the rest of his Australian teammates are preparing to tackle the Indian challenge. 



"Not sure about the first Test. It's still a few days away but it's sneaking up pretty quickly. The second one is obviously straight after as well. So, we'll play it by ear over the next week and next few days and hopefully Tuesday goes well," Hazlewood was quoted as saying on Sunday by&nbsp;Cricbuzz.



"It?s still lingering from the (Sydney) Test match," Hazlewood said of his injury.



Hazlewood's absence on the test side will open the doors for Scott Boland's overseas debut in Nagpur, during the 1st test. Boland, who had made his six-test appearance in Australia and scalped 28 wickets including a four-fer and a five-fer, will be partnered with skipper Pat Cummins. Meanwhile, uncapped pacer Lance Morris is another option for the Aussies to play against India.



Both Pat Cummins and Scott Boland took the new ball in the match-simulation drills held at Alur on the final day before the Aussies fly to Nagpur to give a finishing to their preparations for upcoming India vs Australia test series.



<h2>Shreyas Iyer, Jasprit Bumrah ruled out of 1st Test:</h2>

In the list of casualties from the Indian side, middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer is likely to be unavailable for the 1st test in Nagpur. Iyer is reeling from a back injury and is at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
