IND vs AUS: Virat Kohli’s retirement coming after Adelaide ODI? Batter’s viral gesture takes the internet by storm

Virat Kohli, who made a return to the Indian ODI team after a long gap of seven months, was expected to set the stage on fire in the ODI series against Australia

Indian Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli has been having a tough tour of Australia as his comeback so far has been forgettable. The premier batter bagged a duck in the second ODI of the series between the teams at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide.

Virat Kohli, who made a return to the Indian ODI team after a long gap of seven months, was expected to set the stage on fire in the ODI series against Australia. But that wasn’t the case as he failed in both the outings so far on the tour.

After bagging an 8-ball duck in the first ODI against Australia in Perth, it was expected that he would come up with a great show with the bat in the second match. However, that wasn’t the case either as he bagged another duck in the series.

Xavier Bartlett trapped him in lbw on the fourth ball that was played, providing Australia with a crucial wicket. As he got out, the crowd was stunned but they made sure that they applauded the batter for his presence on the field in what is likely to be his last Australia tour.

The crowd got absolutely stunned as they came out in huge numbers to see him play. Even after he got out, they were behind him, applauding him for what possibly was his last outing in Adelaide.

But what caught the attention of many was Virat Kohli’s reaction after the crowd cheered for him. He removed his glove and raised it, probably hinting at a possible retirement.

There is no confirmation related to the same but of late there have been lots of talks related to his retirement. It remains to be seen what the future holds for him. He himself would be keen to make a strong comeback in the third match, which will be played in Sydney on October 25.
