IND vs AUS: India Playing 11 for the final against Australia prediction

IND vs AUS: Facing Australia in the final will be one of the biggest challenges for India. The Pat Cummins-led side have been exceptional in the World Cups and it’ll be their 8th final, out of which they have won 5. Therefore to beat them will be a tough task for India but with the way they have played, it’ll be a nail-biter.

Openers – Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill

The opening combination of the Indian team for the IND vs AUS is expected to be of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. The duo are the main reason behind the team’s success in the tournament and would be hoping to continue the same. The Indian captain in particular has been the wrecker in chief as he has taken the attack to bowlers and has played some breathtaking innings at the top.

Rohit Sharma smashed a fiery 47 runs in the semi-final against New Zealand and would be hoping to do the same in the final. Shubman Gill on the other hand has played his part to perfection and has batted magnificently. He scored an unbeaten 80 runs in the semis and would be hoping to double it up in IND vs AUS.

Middle order- Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul

India’s middle order is in red hot form. Even if the openers don’t get started, fans would be optimistic about bringing the team on track. Virat Kohli, who is the leading run-getter in the tournament with over 700 runs to his name, would be crucial for the team. He smashed a century in the semi-final and would be hoping to replicate his performance in the IND vs AUS.

Shreyas Iyer scripted history as he became the first Indian middle-order batter to score over 500 runs in the ICC World Cup. He would be high on confidence as he smashed a century against New Zealand and took all the pressure off the team. He’s expected to play a crucial role in IND vs AUS along with KL Rahul, who has been nothing short of exceptional in the tournament with both bat as well as gloves.

Finishers – Suryakumar Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja; Spinner Kuldeep Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav is under the scanner for his consistent failures in the ICC World Cup 2023. Had it been some other game, the team might have replaced him. But with a big final on the cards, India is unlikely to make any change to the XI. Therefore he’s expected to retain his place in the team for the IND vs AUS game.

Ravindra Jadeja has been India’s MVP in the tournament. He’s expected to play a crucial role for the team in the IND vs AUS game. With Ahmedabad being big, his spin bowling would be crucial for the team. Kuldeep Yadav will accompany him in the spin bowling department. They will  play a big role for the team in the final.
