The ICC World Cup 2023 fever is over and it’s time for the IND vs AUS series. The two teams will clash with each other in the five-match T20I series, starting on 23rd November. The second match will take place on 26th November in Thiruvananthapuram. The third match will be played on 28th November in Guwahati. The last two games will be on December 1st in Nagpur and December 3rd in Bengaluru. 

IND vs AUS: David Warners pulls out of T20I series against India; Australia names replacement 

With the IND vs AUS series just a couple of days away, Australia have faced a blow. Opener David Warner has pulled out of the series and has been rested for the entire T20I series against India. He was rested, considering his workload. 

David Warner played a huge role for Australia in the ICC World Cup 2023. He was one of the main reasons why Australia won the tournament. He was amongst the leading run-getters in the event with over 530 runs for his name in the 11 games he played. 

David Warner is expected to be part of the Test series against Pakistan and West Indies and therefore it was expected that he would not play the IND vs AUS T20I series. Australia will have a relatively young team along with some experienced players, who were part of the World Cup 2023.

Australia will be high on confidence as they thumped India in the final of the ICC World Cup 2023. It’ll be a completely different series as both the teams will be having relatively young teams and it’ll mark the preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. 

In place of David Warner, Australia has called up Aaron Hardie as his replacement. Apart from him, they also included Kane Richardson in the team as a replacement for Spencer Johnson who has a hamstring injury. Hardie made his debut for Australia in the T20I series against South Africa
