ICC WTC Points Table Updated After Ashes Sanctions, Pakistan and India Leading the Race: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has updated the ICC WTC Points Table after the sanctions imposed on England and Australia for slow over-rates during the Ashes Fifth Test. As a result, England dropped to the Fifth Spot, and West Indies moved to the Fourth position.

Pakistan has a 100 PCT after winning their two-match test series against Sri Lanka, whereas India is just behind Pakistan in second position with a PCT of 66.67. Australia retained their third place and is still in a good position to qualify for the final. England have slipped to fifth place.

The sanctions imposed on England and Australia were significant. England lost 19 points for their slow over-rates in the fifth Ashes Test, whereas Australia lost 10 points. This Sanction results in England’s PCT has dropped from 43.33 to 15 and Australia’s PCT has dropped from 43.33 to 30.

England won the fifth Ashes Test by 49 runs, and The player of the Match was Chris Woakes, Who took seven wickets and scored 37 runs in that match. England’s Victory in the fifth Test led the Ashes 2023 Series tied by 2-2.

Australia played good cricket and performed wonderfully in the starting two test matches, and then They lost the winning momentum in the upcoming match; hence they lost the two matches, one match ended with a draw, but England was about to win that match.
