ICC World Cup 2023: Harbhajan Singh snubs Pakistan as he names his four semi-finalists for the World Cup 

It’s around a fortnight left the biggest event in the history of cricket will be played. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will take place from 5th October in India. International Cricket Council is leaving no stone unturned in preparations for the event and it’s fair to say that it’ll be one of the most exciting contests to watch. The tournament will begin with a blockbuster clash between England and New Zealand in Ahmedabad.

All the ten teams that will take part in the ICC World Cup 2023 are putting in the hard yards in the build-up to the tournament. The teams since the last few years have adopted the aggressive brand of cricket, which has made competition between bat and ball even more tougher. 

Coming to the ICC World Cup 2023, with the way teams have played, it’s fair to say that there will be no clear favourites as all the teams will have an equal chance to win. With the tournament just around the corner, there have been many predictions about the semi-finalists. 

Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh also shared his verdict on the same. What caught the attention of many he left out Pakistan from his four semi-finalists for the ICC World Cup 2023. The Men in Green have been picked by many experts but for Harbhajan they are average.

“People are saying Pakistan could advance to the semifinals but in the 50-over format, they are just average. They play good cricket in T20Is.” Harbhajan  Singh said in a video posted on his YouTube channel. 

Harbhajan Singh picked India, Australia and England as sure shot picks for the semifinal of the ICC World Cup 2023. For the fourth sport, he went with the runners up of the 2019 World Cup. The former Indian spinner backed New Zealand to be in the business end of the tournament. 

“My fourth pick would be New Zealand. (India, Australia, England, New Zealand) are my four semifinalists for the World Cup.”

All the teams will be coming in the World Cup on the basis of some fine performances. It remains to be seen how will fare in the mega event.
