Ajit Agarkar appointed as the new BCCI chief selector

In what has been the latest development as per the reports in the Indian Express it is learned that new Indian chief selector Ajit Agarkar is all set to travel to West Indies to discuss the road map for ICC World Cup 2023 with skipper Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid.

Indian Cricket Team is currently locking horns with West Indies in the Test series and after that they will facing the same opposition in the three-match ODI series. The games will serve as a preparation for the team for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023.

Indian team has been under a scrutiny for a while as they have not won an ICC trophy since 2013. They have lost 9 ICC titles and this time they would want to end the jinx and clinch the most prestigious tournament in the cricket. With event being slated to take place at home, it’ll be a great advantage for them.

But they need to get all the things right to achieve the title. Since the last few years they have been failing to surpass the knockout stage and have been struggling to counter the pressure. The onus will be on the Rahul Dravid, Rohit Sharma and Ajit Agarkar to sort the issues and help team lift the ICC World Cup 2023.
