ENG vs AUS 2023: Australia take 2-0 lead in the Ashes 2023: Australia won the 2nd Ashes test match by 43 runs and now leads the Ashes 2023 by 2-0. England fought well in this match but unfortunately lacks behind in some spaces and hence lost the match and The Player of the Match was Steve Smith.

England Skipper Ben Stokes played a stormy inning, and he put Australian Bowlers in trouble as he was smashing boundaries in test cricket and showing his baz-ball game but couldn’t lead his team to victory as he lost his wicket by scoring 155 runs.

Australia has again defeated England, they Dominated the game since Day 1 and didn’t lead the English Player to come back in the match. Steve Smith Played a wonderful innings of 110 (184) & 34 (62) runs in both innings, whereas Mitchell Starc took six wickets and Josh Hazlewood took five wickets.

Australia’s 1st Inning:

Australia came to bat in the first inning, and they showed a good start as they scored 339 runs on Day 1 and then got all out in 100.4 overs hence scoring 416 runs in their first inning. Steve Smith knocked a century, whereas Travis Head continued his form in the ashes and scored 77 runs in 73 balls, whereas English Bowler Ollie Robinson and Josh Tongue took three wickets each.

England’s 1st Inning:

England’s Openers played well in this test match and gave a decent start to their team Ben Duckett scored 98 runs in 134 balls, whereas Harry Brook scored 50 runs in 68 balls. They got all out in 76.2 overs, and Scored 325 runs in their first inning.

Australia’s 2nd Inning:

Australia struggled in their second inning against English Bowlers, but Usman Khawaja played well and showed nice intent; he scored 77 runs in 187 balls, whereas Steve Smith scored 34 runs. They got all out in 101.5 overs, and by scoring 279 runs hence gave England 371 runs target, and English bowler Stuart Broad took four wickets.

England’s 2nd Inning:

England lost four wickets in just 15 overs, but Ben Duckett and Skipper Ben Stokes made a massive 137 runs partnership for the 5th wicket. Then, Ben Stokes started his playing in his style and hit many boundaries to the Australian Bowlers and scored 155 runs in 214 balls with nine sixes and fours. In the end, Australia won the match by 43 runs.
