END vs SA 3rd ODI: Victory by 342 Runs, Bavuma Says "Something Went Horribly Wrong" | England vs South Africa 3rd ODI Highlights
The Third ODI match Between England and South Africa turnet out to be a one-side game. England completely dominated and defeated South Africa by a massive margin of 342 runs at Rose Bowl Cricket Ground in Southampton. England registered a historic win over South Africa in the 3rd ODI, and it will be remembered for a long time.
South Africa's Captain Temba Bavuma, said, "Something went horribly wrong" after South Africa got all out at 72 in just 20.5 overs in a 50-over game. This was South Africa's largest ever defeat in One-Day International history.
England batted first and they put 414 runs on the scoreboard with a loss of 5 wickets in 50 overs. Joe Root and Jacob Bethell played a fantastic knock and smashed a century, whereas Jofra Archer and Adil Rashid shook the whole batting line-up of South Africa with their phenomenal bowling.
From the South African side, only three batters crossed the 10+ runs margin, whereas not a single batter made 20+ runs in this game. However, South Africa still managed to win the series by 2-1, but this defeat will not be easy for South African players to forget.
England Batting Masterclass in Southampton:
England batted first after losing the toss; they had a good start by Jamie Smith and Ben Duckett. Later on, Joe Root and Jacob bethell took charge and they made a 182 runs partnership for the 3rd wicket.
Jacob Bethal knocked his first ODI century after smashing 110 runs in 82 balls. Joe Root stood from the other end and never let South African bowlers to make a comeback in the game. Joe Root also smashed 100 runs in 96 balls.
In the End, Jos Buttler played a fantastic innings of 62 runs in just 32 balls and led his team to a good total of 414 runs. From the South African bowling department, Corbin Bosch and Keshav Maharaj got two wickets each.
South Africa's Collapse in the chase:
South Africa needed 415 runs to win the match and a clean sweep in the series by 3-0, but their inning fell apart from the very beginning. Their opening batter got out in the starting few overs, and the top order collapsed in just three overs, with the scoreboard 6/3.
No South African batter even managed to get 20+ runs; only three batters were able to score double-digit runs, and the whole team got all out for just 72 runs. English bowlers shown great cricketing skills; they used the wickets perfectly and made chasing impossible for South Africa.
From the England Bowling side, Jofra Archer led the department as he took four wickets, whereas Adil Rashid and Brydon Carse got 3 and 2 wickets, respectively.

South Africa Captain's take after historic loss:
Bavuma said, "It's a downer. We were just poor to be hoonest, in all departments. Fielding is always about atitude, and looking at our fielding and some of the catches you could question where out atitude is".
He also added, "With the ball at some point somethign went horribly wrong. The extras as well with the ball, far from idea."
"With the bat it was walaways going to be tough, and their bowlrs really put as under pressure. We didn't have a chance."
"To sum it up, a poor game of cricket from us."
