Indian cricket team's star batsman Cheteshwar Pujara has announced his retirement from all formats of the sport. He has given information about this in a social media post. He was out of the Indian Test team for a long time. Now he has said goodbye to his golden career.
Pujara wrote in the post, 'Donning the Indian jersey, proudly singing our national anthem, and striving to give my all on the field with every match... It's hard to express how meaningful this journey has been, but as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. With a heart full of gratitude, I share that I have chosen to retire from all forms of Indian cricket. I appreciate all your love and support!'

When did he last play an international match?
Cheteshwar Pujara was not being selected in Team India for a long time. The focus of the selectors is now moving towards new and young players. Pujara played his last Test match on 7 June 2023. The veteran played his last match against Australia at the Oval. His performance in that match with the bat was not very special. Pujara scored 14 runs in the first innings of this match and 27 runs in the second innings.
