Asia Cup 2023: Pakistan won the match against Nepal by 238 runs, Skipper Babar Azam Knocked 151 runs: Pakistan and Nepal played the first match of Asia Cup 2023 at Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan. Babar Azam played a wonderful inning of 151 runs and led his team to victory.

Pakistan batted well, and they made 343 runs in 50 overs; Skipper Babar Azam led the team from the front, and Iftikhar Ahmed supported him from the other end. It was already predicted that Pakistan would easily beat Nepal in this match.

Nepal showed good intent in this match but lacked in some places, hence lost the match. The Bowlers have bowled well and put Pakistan in trouble at some point, but Babar and Iftikhar played wonderfully and took their team in a good position.

Pakistan won the toss, and they chose to bat first. Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman came to open but got out quite early. Skipper Babar Azam and Mohd. Rizwan made a small partnership of 86 runs for the 3rd wicket. Then, Babar made a huge partnership of 214 runs for the fifth wicket with Iftikhar Ahmed. 

Babar Azam Knocks his 19th ODI Century and becomes the fastest Batters to reach this milestone. Babar scored 151 runs in 131 balls at a strike rate of 115.27, with 14 fours and four sixes. Iftikhar Ahmed played an aggressive inning, and he made 109 runs in 71 balls with 11 fours and four sixes.

Pakistan scored 343 runs on the scoreboard in 50 overs. From Nepal, Sompal Kami took two wickets, and Karan KC and Sandeep Lamichhane took one wicket each.

Nepal had a poor start as they lost three wickets in the starting two overs of the second inning. Nepal failed to score runs against the Strong bowling Side of Pakistan. Sompal Kami scored 28 runs, whereas Aarif Sheikh scored 26 runs; otherwise, no other batters scored runs in this match.

From the Pakistan Side, Shadab Khan took four wickets in just 6.4 overs spell, whereas Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi got two wickets each.
