Anrich Nortje likely to be available for Delhi Capitals (DC) from April 7 in IPL 2022: Delhi Capitals (DC) signed Protea pacer Anrich Nortje has some delightful news for all his fans, as he is set to return to the field of cricket from April 7. In Delhi’s third IPL encounter against Lucknow Super Giants, the fans will witness some serious pace from the South African seamer.

Nortje hasn’t played any international match since last November owing to his persistent hip injury. The pacer sustained a hip blow during the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and since then he is out of action.

As per the reports, Anrich Nortje has already arrived in Mumbai and is currently undergoing his mandatory three days quarantine.

Cricbuzz report stated that the Delhi Capitals (DC) pacer, Anrich Nortje will be available for team selection from April 7. Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals (DC) will face KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 7.

The South African speedster has been a vital cog in Delhi’s cricket lineup for a couple of years now. He has delivered some of the most impactful performances in the past two years and will continue to do in the forthcoming edition of the lucrative Indian T20 league.

The express pacer scalped 12 wickets from 8 matches in the IPL 2021, while he plucked 22 scalps in 16 games of the IPL 2020. Delhi Capitals (DC) retained the services of Anrich Nortje ahead of the IPL 2022 auction for INR 6.5 Crores.

Nortje is excited to join his Delhi mates and expressed his gratitude towards everyone involved in the game.

“It’s been an unbelievable journey for me with Delhi so far, and I’ve learnt so much from everyone around the squad. The overall environment has been superb the last two seasons, and I can’t wait to join the team again.”

Meanwhile, Delhi’s first challenge in the Tata IPL 2022 will be against formidable Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 27th in the Brabourne Stadium.
