As per the reports in The Times of India, it is learned that the Indian squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will be announced on Saturday, December 21. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be holding a selection meeting on Saturday at their headquarters in Mumbai.

The selection meeting will take place at 1:30 PM and the selectors will decide the squad for the T20I series against New Zealand and the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar will address the press conference after the meeting.

The reports also claimed that there will be no surprises in the Indian squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Suryakumar Yadav will be leading the team with Shubman Gill expected to be his vice-captain.
