The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, which will be the 13th edition of the Men’s Cricket World Cup, has been scheduled between 5 October 2023 and 19 November 2023. Initially, the event was supposed to take place from 9th February to 26th March 2023, but the dates were moved to October and November 2023, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event can mark the first time that India has hosted the tournament on its own after having co-hosted previous tournaments in 1987 (with Pakistan), 1996 (with West Pakistan and Ceylon), and 2011 (with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh).

Format
There should be 10 teams playing in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, the same as in 2019. The format will be the same as the 1992 and 2019 cricket world cups, where every team plays with the remaining teams in a round-robin (randomly selected team) fashion. Finally, four teams will compete in a semi-final, with the top two teams advancing to the final.
Qualification
The top eight teams, including host India, will qualify automatically, and the remaining two teams will be selected for the 2022–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League matches.

Qualified Teams for the 2023 Cricket World Cup:
India, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, Pakistan, West Indies and New Zealand are qualified and progress to the 2023 World cup.
The remaining teams Sri Lanka, Ireland, South Africa, Zimbabwe and the Netherlands qualify for to the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier from which two teams will press to the 2023 World cup.
