Yusuf Pathan tested covid positive after Sachin Tendulkar

Indian veteran cricketer Yusuf Pathan has tested positive for the coronavirus on Saturday. The news came soon after veteran cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was sent into managed home isolation post his positive test on Saturday. All-rounder Yusuf Pathan is also in home isolation.

Both the aforementioned cricketers were featured in the recently concluded Road Safety World Series 2021 which was won by Indian Legends.

Yusuf informed his well-wishers and fans through a tweet from his official Twitter handle, he said, “I’ve tested positive for COVID-19 today with mild symptoms. Post the confirmation, I have quarantined myself at home and taking all the necessary precautions and medication required.”

He further urged others who were in close contact with him to get themselves examined for the coronavirus.

Apart from Indian Legends, the Road Safety World Series 2021 featured England Legends, Bangladesh Legends, Sri Lanka Legends, West Indies Legends and South Africa Legends.

Australian Legends were initially part of the World Series however they backed out due to complications posed by covid-19 in Australia.

As of now, cases of the covid-19 are on surge as the second wave has hit. Cases in the whole country are rising at a rapid pace.

In the last 24 hours, India recorded 62,714 positive coronavirus cases. The most affected state Maharashtra alone has accounted for over 35,000 cases.

Due to late surge, many prominent cities are forced into lockdown by the state governments while emergency services are allowed.
