Road Safety World Series: Indian Legends vs Bangladesh on March 5.



Road Safety World Series: The Indian Legends will take on Bangladesh in the opener of the Road Safety World Series on March 05. While the England team will also take on Bangladesh on March 07 as this will be <a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/ind-vs-aus-australia-survives-all-out-scare-indian-pacers-wreak-havoc-after-being-bowled-out-for-150-in-the-first-inning/" title="the first" class="auto-internal-link" data-auto-link="1" data-link-type="suggestion" data-rule-id="0">the first</a> game of England. India will take on England counterparts on March 09. The semi-final of the Road Safety World Series is scheduled to take place on 17th and 19th March while the final will be held on 21st March.



All the former and veteran cricketers will come under a roof to spread awareness about Road Safety in the country. India being the host will play the opener of the series. A series <a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/birthday-boy-rinku-singh-has-now-leveled-up-with-the-likes-of-great-ms-dhoni-for-a-unique-indian-t20-record/" title="with the likes" class="auto-internal-link" data-auto-link="1" data-link-type="suggestion" data-rule-id="0">with the likes</a> of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Brian Lara, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Muttiah Muralitharan, and many others will bring joy in the face of their fans.



England, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, South Africa and India will be the countries that will be taking part in the awareness series.&nbsp;



All the games of the Road Safety World Series will be held at the newly build&nbsp; Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur. The ground has a capacity to include 65,000 fans and 50 per-cent crowd will be allowed to witness the game. The SOP for the same will be released soon by the authorities.&nbsp;



Australian Legends were also part of the series initially but they pulled back last week due to the restrictions posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.



In India Cricket is followed more or less like a religion and the cricketers are looked upon by their fans. This will be a good means to influence peoples behaviour on Indian roads.&nbsp;



The Road Safety World Series is an initiative by the Road Safety Cell of Maharashtra in association with the Professional Management Group (PMG) led by Sunil Gavaskar as the Commissioner of the Series and Sachin Tendulkar is the brand ambassador of the league.



The series was called off on March 11, 2020 just <a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/i-feel-they-need-a-successor-to-dhoni-cricket-analyst-akash-chopra-names-csk-veterans-replacement-after-the-ipl-2025/" title="after the" class="auto-internal-link" data-auto-link="1" data-link-type="suggestion" data-rule-id="0">after the</a> four games as the Country went into serious Covid-19 lockdown.

The series was scrapped after four games. All the veterans and former Cricketers across the globe will be seen playing once again.



The second edition of the Road Safety World Series is all set to begin on 05th March 2021 and the final will be played on 21st March.



The series aims to create awareness related to road safety in the country and will try to change the mindset of the peoples while on the roads.

Road Safety World Series Final 2021: The final of the Road Safety World Series 2021 will be played between India Legends and Sri Lanka Legends on Sunday. Yusuf Pathan tested covid positive after Sachin Tendulkar



Indian veteran cricketer Yusuf Pathan has tested positive for the coronavirus on Saturday. The news came soon after veteran cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was sent into managed home isolation post his positive test on Saturday. All-rounder Yusuf Pathan is also in home isolation.



Both the aforementioned cricketers were featured in the recently concluded Road Safety World Series 2021 which was won by Indian Legends.



Yusuf informed his well-wishers and fans through a tweet from his official Twitter handle, he said, ?I?ve tested positive for COVID-19 today with mild symptoms. Post the confirmation, I have quarantined myself at home and taking all the necessary precautions and medication required.?

He further urged others who were in close contact with him to get themselves examined for the coronavirus.

Australian Legends were initially part of the World Series however they backed out due to complications posed by covid-19 in Australia.



As of now, cases of the covid-19 are on surge as <a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/ind-vs-nz-what-will-happen-to-indias-wtc-chances-if-they-lose-the-second-test-against-new-zealand-at-pune/" title="the second" class="auto-internal-link" data-auto-link="1" data-link-type="suggestion" data-rule-id="0">the second</a> wave has hit. Cases in the whole country are rising at a rapid pace.



In the last 24 hours, India recorded 62,714 positive coronavirus cases. The most affected state Maharashtra alone has accounted for over 35,000 cases.



Due to late surge, many prominent cities are forced into lockdown by the state governments while emergency services are allowed.

He is the third former Indian cricketer to be tested positive for coronavirus after Sachin Tendulkar and Yusuf Pathan.



The 40-years old cricketer recently took part in the Road Safety World Series in Raipur along with other veterans of the game.&nbsp;



?I have been taking all the necessary precautions and have been getting tested regularly. However, I have tested positive for COVID-19 and have some mild symptoms,? Badrinath said in his Twitter handle.



?I will follow all protocols and will be isolating myself at home and will take needful action as per advise (advice) from my physician,? said Badrinath who announced retirement from all forms of cricket in 2018.



The Road Safety World Series has come into controversy as the participant cricketers are one by one getting infected with the virus. Netizens have started calling it Road ?Unsafety? World Series for the same reason.



<a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/border-gavaskar-trophy-2024-when-and-where-to-watch-the-series-in-india/" title="The series" class="auto-internal-link" data-auto-link="1" data-link-type="suggestion" data-rule-id="0">The series</a> was held in purpose to raise awareness about road safety and the road etiquettes in India. Besides India, South Africa Legends, England Legends, West Indies Legends, Bangladesh Legends and Sri Lanka legends have also participated in the series.



According to the doctors, all three cricketers have mild symptoms of the virus and are in control.



The cases tally has again started to rise after the second wave. As of now, the country is recording over 60,000 cases in the last 24 hours and Maharashtra alone has over 30,000 cases.



The Maharashtra government has announced a night curfew in the major cities of the state from 07 PM to 06 AM in the morning.



According to BCCI, the IPL games will go as per the schedule even if the states are imposing night curfews in the cities. The IPL matches will begin 07:30 PM onwards from 09th April 2021.

Five Indian Cricketers tested covid-positive post Road Safety World Series.



Road Safety World Series: The list of the former cricketers getting infected with the virus is getting longer with each passing day. Earlier Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar informed that he is positive for coronavirus post which Yusuf Pathan and Subramaniam Badrinath also revealed that they too are infected with the virus.



On Tuesday, Yusuf Pathan?s brother Irfan Pathan also revealed that he too is tested covid positive post the Road Safety World Series taking the list count of covid infected cricketers to 4.

According to these cricketers, all of them are showing mild symptoms and are stable. They are in managed home isolation on doctor's advice.

The series was held with spectators cheering from the stadiums. As per the reports, all the safety protocols were following during the games.

The format of the Road Safety World Series is simple. Legendary retired cricketers play for the Legends XI of their respective nations and they battle it out against the other nations. Last time, there were 7 teams in the tournament and this year, New Zealand Legends has been added as well.
