Full List of Stadium that will host World Cup 2023 Matches: According to recent updates from Cricbuzz, it is expected that the opening match of the tournament between England and New Zealand will take place in Ahmedabad.

The finals of the World Cup 2023 scheduled for November will also expected to be held in the same city. The venues for the upcoming World Cup have already been decided, and Ahmedabad has been chosen as the location for some Important matches.

List of venues for the World Cup:

Based on the latest information. The ODI world cup will be hosted across several cities in India. These cities includes Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Indore, Dharamshala, Guwahati, Raipur, and Rajkot and it should be noted that these are proposed cities, they may be changed if some changes may required.

Interestingly, out of these 12 venues, only six of them, which is Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Bangalore, had previously hosted matches during the 2011 ODI world cups. This indicated there would be new venues for the upcoming tournament, offering a fresh experience for players and fans.

2. Wankhede Stadium(Mumbai)

3. Eden Gardens(Kolkata)

4. M.A. Chidambaram Stadium(Chennai)

5. M Chinnaswamy Stadium(Banglore)

6. SPCA Stadium(Dharamsala)

7. SCA Stadium(Rajkot)

8. Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium(Raipur)

9. Barsapara Stadium(Guwahati)

10. Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium(Hyderabad)

11. Holkar Stadium (Indore)

12. Arun Jaitley Stadium(Delhi)

Team India will play at least one of their matches at these venues, either it may be in group stage matches or eliminators.

Stadiums that missed out in World Cup 2023:

Mohali and Nagpur are the old stadiums that hosted the 2011 World Cup matches. These two stadiums that hosted the world cup matches of 2011 were expected to host this year also, but It is excepted BCCI will not add these two stadium. Another newly-built Ekana Cricket stadium was expected to witness a few world cup matches, but the name is not in the list.

Some Proposed Venues for the Pakistan team 

Pakistan will arrive in India for their world cup matches. There are four cities proposed by BCCI where Pakistan will play their world cup matches. These cities include Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The above cities are selected because of their peaceful crowd. Chennai has got a special preference for hosting Pakistan because of its friendly crowd.
