Virat Kohli is set to return to the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) after a long gap of nearly 15 years, and he will be playing for Delhi under the leadership of Rishabh Pant. Kohli last played in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2010, but the India vs New Zealand ODI series is scheduled in January; therefore, the VHT 2025-26 will be important for Kohli to keep his form.

Virat Kohli has an outstanding record in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he has played a few matches but has had impressive performances. Kohli will be playing the starting few matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 for Delhi before the IND vs NZ ODI Series 2026. Kohli will be playing the first match of VHT 2025-26 on December 24, 2025, in Bengaluru.

As per the reports, fans in Bengaluru are unlikely to see the action at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru as the Karnataka Government has denied permission due to security concerns. Delhi’s opening match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 is likely to be shifted to the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence.
