How to Refresh Backend-Generated Feeds

Some feeds are generated by the admin backend and written as static XML files to the public folder. Here's how to refresh each one:

1
Google News Sitemap

Admin panel β†’ Sitemap Manager β†’ "Regenerate Google News Sitemap". Writes fresh google-news-sitemap.xml to public/sitemap/. Also auto-runs via cron every hour.

2
Main Sitemap

Admin panel β†’ Sitemap Manager β†’ "Regenerate Sitemap". Auto-runs via cron. Cron endpoint: /cron/update-sitemap

3
News / Matches / Series RSS Feeds

These are dynamic API routes β€” they fetch live data from the backend API on every request. No manual refresh needed. Just open the URL and it's always fresh.

4
After a New Deployment

The Astro sitemap (/sitemap-0.xml) is rebuilt automatically on every deploy. After deploying, re-submit sitemaps in Google Search Console β†’ Sitemaps β†’ click Resubmit on each URL.

πŸ“‘

Always Fresh

RSS feeds update automatically. Your reader checks for new content and delivers it to you β€” no need to visit the site manually.

No Algorithm

Unlike social media, RSS shows everything in chronological order. No ads, no tracking, no algorithm deciding what you see.

Works Everywhere

RSS is an open standard supported by hundreds of apps on every platform β€” phone, desktop, browser, and email clients.
