IPL 2021: Just Dial partners with Star Sports as Co-presenters.



IPL 2021: Ahead of the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League, official broadcaster Star Sports has joined hands with Just Dial. The Internet Company Just Dial Limited on Sunday announced its partnership with Star Sports as Co-presenters <a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/citing-security-reasons-india-denies-travelling-to-pakistan-for-the-upcoming-champions-trophy-matches-are-to-be-shifted-to-dubai/" title="for the upcoming" class="auto-internal-link" data-auto-link="1" data-link-type="suggestion" data-rule-id="0">for the upcoming</a> IPL season.



The forthcoming Indian T20 League is all set to begin on 09th April while the final of the tournament will be played on 30th May.



According to the reports, the shares of Just Dial fired up by 6 per-cent soon after the company revealed its agreement with Star Sports. Just Dial confirmed the news by informing the stakeholders and stock exchange.



Last year in IPL 2020, Star Sports sold the co-presenters rights for a whopping INR 115 - 120 Crores and according to the reports, this time too the rights value is the same.



However, there is no clarity on the partnership value. The value might have increased as IPL saw a huge viewership last time when it was hosted in UAE.



?Pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 and in continuation to our previous communication on the launch of our exclusive B2B platform, JD Mart, we hereby inform all relevant stakeholders that Just Dial Limited has signed an advertising agreement with broadcaster Star India Private Limited ?Star? for advertising as ?Co-Presenting Sponsor? in Indian Premier League ? 14 (IPL 2021), to be held in April-May 2021?, the company said in an exchange filing.



The company came to IPL first time back in 2014 when it signed deals with various IPL franchises including the likes of&nbsp; Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals (Former Delhi Daredevils), Royal CHallengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings (former Kings XI Punjab).



In 2010, the company announced Bollywood star, Amitabh Bachchan, as its brand ambassador.

After the success of last year?s IPL, Star Sports is ready to multiply its revenue this season as it ropes-in four more sponsors.



The thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League shattered all the previous records as it became the most successful IPL season despite posing several challenges.



Earlier, it was reported that Dream11, Byju?s, Phone Pe and Just Dial have joined hands with Star Sports as Co-Presenting partners. Now the list is getting even bigger as it brings in four more associate sponsors in the bag.



Bingo and AFMI have confirmed their partnership as an associate sponsor for IPL 2021 while Frooti and Kamla Pasand are the new joinings.



According to InsideSports, the deal for Co-Presenting partners is around worth INR 150-120 Crores and Associate Sponsors will pay around INR 55-65 Crores.



IPL?s live streaming partner Disney+Hostar is not far behind Star Sports in roping in the brands for forthcoming IPL.



According to some of the media outlets, Disney+Hotstar have already signed deals with 10 brands. Dream11 will be the Co-Presenting sponsor while Upstox and Vimal Elaichi are Co-Powered by the Sponsor. Apart from these PhonePe, Unacademy, Pharmeasy, Livspace, Swiggy, AMFI, and Parle Agro are the associate sponsor for the coming edition of <a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/javed-miandad-fires-a-warning-to-the-indian-cricket-team-following-their-refusal-to-travel-to-pakistan-for-the-champions-trophy/" title="the Indian" class="auto-internal-link" data-auto-link="1" data-link-type="suggestion" data-rule-id="0">the Indian</a> Premier League (IPL).



Streaming partner Disney+Hotstar is now planning to penetrate the revenue of approximately INR 3200 Crores this year.

Vivo IPL 2021: The Indian elite T20 competition looks in complete danger as 14 more members associated with the IPL have been tested covid positive, four days before the tournament opener.



As per the report of Outlook, 14 members of Four Seasons Hotel have tested covid positive, the same hotel in which Star Sports Live Broadcasting feed Crew is staying.



All those 14 members who have been infected with the virus were part of the bubble which consists of professionals who will be live broadcasting the IPL 2021 games.



The Star Sports Chief Sanjog Gupta was reluctant to provide any information on the matter.

Earlier, it was reported that 3 Cricketers have come in contact with the virus and have been sent into isolation. Apart from these, 10 groundstaff and six event managers of Wankhede Stadium also tested covid positive.



Despite Mumbai being the epicentre of the covid cases, BCCI is still of the view of conducting the IPL games in Mumbai?s Wankhede Stadium. Chennai Super Kings and <a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/delhi-capitals-replace-sourav-ganguly-as-doc-while-hemang-badani-steps-in-as-their-new-head-coach/" title="Delhi Capitals" class="auto-internal-link" data-auto-link="1" data-link-type="suggestion" data-rule-id="0">Delhi Capitals</a> will lock horns on 10th April which will be the first game in Wankhede this IPL.



As per the reports of various news outlets, BCCI has kept Lucknow as the backup option for Mumbai, if they plan to shift the venues out of Mumbai. However, Hyderabad and Indore are also on the list of backup venues.



Yesterday, HCA chief Mohammad Azharuddin offered BCCI to consider Hyderabad as the option. The stadiums in Hyderabad are capable to host the IPL games in case of emergency.

Vivo IPL 2021: The fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) got suspended on Tuesday for indefinite time after multiple covid-positive cases came inside the biosecure bubble. Star Sports, the official broadcaster of the Vivo IPL 2021 said that the organisation stands with the BCCI in support of their decision of suspension.



The development was confirmed after two more players were tested covid-positive. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha and <a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/rishabh-pant-likely-to-step-down-as-delhi-capitals-skipper-this-indian-player-to-emerge-as-their-new-captain-for-ipl-2025/" title="Delhi Capitals" class="auto-internal-link" data-auto-link="1" data-link-type="suggestion" data-rule-id="0">Delhi Capitals</a> (DC) spinner Amit Mishra were found to be covid positive on Tuesday.



BCCI in a statement said that the board does not want to compromise with the safety of the involved players, support staff, commentators and the broadcasters hence they have decided to postpone the elite T20 competition.

Earlier, on Monday, CSK bowling coach L Balaji while on Tuesday batting coach Michael Hussey were also tested positive for the dreaded coronavirus. Two KKR players - Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier - were also found covid-positive.



Star Sports said that it is ?indebted? to its crew who did everything possible to deliver a quality and entertaining IPL in these testing times. It also appreciated the efforts of the employees, on-air talent, production, and broadcast crews for their service.

TATA IPL 2022 is on board. But the official broadcasters for this season are yet to be decided. The media rights for the year 2022 are yet to be decided. The last time the media rights were sold to Star TV Network was in 2017 for 5 years. Last time, by selling the IPL Media Rights to the <a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/ipl-2021-disney-plus-hotstar-signs-10-sponsors-for-ipl-2021/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow">Star TV network</a>, the BCCI earned a whopping 16347 Crore Indian Rupees. The other contenders in line were Sony TV, Facebook, and a few other platforms. Since then, the association of IPL and Star has taken the brand value to greater heights. Star TV had broadcasting rights from 2017 to 2021. ?



The tender for the rights will come out between 10th to 12th February, tentatively. The BCCI is keen on maintaining ?transparency? regarding IPL Media Rights. Previously, a PIL was filed by MP Subramaniam Swamy in the honorable Supreme Court of India for making the process a digital one. However, the honorable Supreme Court did not apply any such obligations on the <a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/bcci-keen-to-host-tata-ipl-2021-in-india-likely-to-be-in-mumbai/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow">BCCI </a>but suggested a transparent process. Keeping that in mind, the BCCI has settled for an E-Auction.?

Star Sports aiming 4000 Crore ad revenue business from the IPL 2022: The official broadcaster of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Star Sports is reported to have a target of touching INR 4000 Crore of advertisement revenue from the fifteenth edition of the cash-rich Indian T20 tournament. The previous year's ads revenue (IPL 2021) for Star Sports was approximately INR 3200 Crores.



Star Sports, a subsidiary of Walt Disney Company India, has increased the rate of IPL ON-AIR Sponsorships by around 20 per cent to set new benchmarks for the upcoming seasons.



With the Indian Premier League (IPL) expanding to the 10-teams affair, the revenue of each partner of the tournament is foreseen to get skyrocketed. All the involved parties are expected to pocket a healthy profit from their investments.



If the reports are to be believed, Star Sports have already signed massive deals with 10-12 advertisers for the 15th season.



Cred, Dream11, TATA, Swiggy Instamart, Asian Paints, Spotify, Meesho, Byju?s, Kamla Pasand &amp; Pepsi are a couple of companies that have signed deals with Star Sports for the IPL 2022.

The On-Air Co-Presenting Partners are charged INR 160 Crores while the Associate Sponsors are charged INR 90 Crores by Star Sports to show their ads during the IPL.



?IPL 2022 is very special. It will have 10 teams, will be played in India, will have a new format &amp; most importantly new composition of the teams. All of these put together has created a huge amount of buzz in the market &amp; Star is rightfully encashing this buzz?, said one of the buying heads at a leading media buying agency.



?The belief in Disney Star is that the product is delivering on every parameter. For such a consistently performing property, advertiser doesn?t mind top dollar. The rates have increased and so will be the revenues. 4000 Crore advertising sales looks like a reality now?, informed one of the core members of the Disney Star Network Sales team.



Season fifteen of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin on March 26 (Saturday) and the final of the tournament will take place on May 29 (Sunday). The schedule for the league is likely to be rolled out during the first week of March.
