ICC Player of the Month: Bhuvneshwar Kumar and two other Indians nominated for the ICC Player of the Month Awards.



ICC Player of the Month: Indian speedster Bhuvneshwar Kumar along with two Indian women cricketers Punam Raut and Rajeshwari Gaikwad have been nominated for the ICC Player of the Month Award for their standout performances in the month of March.



Bhuvneshwar came after recovering from injury and exploited all the conditions to bring back his form in the international format. Playing against England, the speedster performed brilliantly in the white ball series.

In the three ODIs played between India and England last month, he scalped six wickets with an impressive economy of 4.65. In the five T20Is, the speedster picked four wickets at an economy of 6.38.



Besides, Bhuvneshwar Kumar in Men?s category, Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan and Zimbabwe?s Sean Williams are also nominated for the award.



Leggie Rashid Khan picked six wickets in the three games T20I series and also picked 11 wickets in the second Test match against Zimbabwe.



Sean Williams playing against Afghanistan amassed 264 runs and two wickets in the two test matches while he scored 45 runs in the three T20I games.



<h2>ICC Player of the Award for Women Cricketers:</h2>



In the Women?s category, Rajeshwari Gaikwad and Punam Raut of India and South Africa?s Lizelle Lee have been nominated.



Talking about the women cricketers, Rajashwari Gaikwad emerged as the highest wicket-taker in both the ODI and T20I series with eight and four wickets respectively.



Punam Raut became the highest run-scorer for India against South Africa in the five games ODI series. She scored 263 runs with a ton and two half-centuries.



South Africa?s Lizelle Lee also batted superbly in the India-South Africa series where she scored a century and two half-centuries to jump to the top of ICC Batting rankings.

ICC Player of the Month: Bhuvneshwar Kumar bags the ICC Player of the Month Award.



ICC Player of the Month: Indian speedster Bhuvneshwar Kumar on Tuesday was announced as the winner of the ICC Player of the Month for his splendid performance in the white ball leg against England in the month of March.



Ace tweaker Rashid Khan and Zimbabwe batsman Sean Williams were also nominated for the award in the Men?s category.



The International Cricket Council (ICC) started this initiative in January 2021 to appreciate the efforts put by the players every month. This is the third award and Indian players have bagged all of them. Earlier the award was won by Rishabh Pant and Ravichandran Ashwin.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar thanked everyone who supported him through all his lean patch and injury days.

ICC Player of the Month: Kiwi Devon Conway won Player of the Month award for June, Sophie Ecclestone.



ICC Player of the Month: New Zealand batsman Devon Conway along with English women spinner Sophie Ecclestone, have been voted out for the Player of the Month award in their respective categories for their exploits in June.



Conway, who announced his arrival in Test cricket in some way, smashed a double ton on his debut game against England at Lord?s and continued his astounding form to score a much-needed half-century in the final of the ICC World Test Championship against India to win the maiden test title.



The cricketer is also the first kiwi to win the ICC Player of the Month award.



The 30-years old cricketer piped out the likes of Kyle Jamieson and Quinton de Kock, who were also nominated for the award in the men?s category.

Picking up 14 games in just three matches (one one-off test match and two ODIs), Ecclestone went past India?s Shefali Verma and Sneh Rana.



?It?s really nice to win this award. It?s after a period in which we?ve played all three formats so it feels good to be recognised for my performances in the Test and the white-ball series,? Sophie Ecclestone said.

Australian David Warner bags ICC Player of the Month award for November, WI?s Hayley Matthews secured women?s award.



ICC Player of the Month for November: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday adjudged explosive Australian opener David Warner and West Indies all-rounder Hayley Matthews as the respective Men and Women?s Player of the Month award winner for the month of November.



Warner?s stellar efforts during the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 were noted down as he helped Australia bag its maiden T20 World Cup title in Dubai. Warner?s valiant efforts assisted him to pip the likes of New Zealand pacer Tim Southee and Pakistani opener Abid Ali.



The Aussie opener was also named as the Player of the Tournament in the T20 World Cup. He smacked three half-centuries including the one against New Zealand in the final. David amassed a total of 289 runs in seven World cup matches at a strike rate of 146.70.&nbsp;



The southpaw mustered 53 runs off 38 deliveries in the final against New Zealand as Australia crossed the total of 173 runs with one over to spare.



Russel Arnold, who is one of the jury members said that David Warner returned to his absolute best during the all-important showpiece event.



"David was back to his scintillating best during the T20 WC and his aggression at the top of the order was outstanding," Arnold was quoted as saying in the ICC statement.

Meanwhile, Hayley Matthews outplayed?Pakistan?s left-arm spinners Anam Amin and Nahida Akter of Bangladesh and won the Player of the Month award in the women's category.



She amassed 141 runs in four One Day matches against Pakistan in Karachi. She also scalped nine wickets in the series, registering her overall best of 4/26 in the series.



?Hayley was the star of the tournament, performing with both bat and ball. Her all-round performance was one of the reasons the West Indies won against Pakistan, and she deserves to be the women?s Player of the Month,? said Irfan Pathan who was also part of the jury.

ICC Player of the Month nominee announced for December 2021: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Saturday announced the three nominees for the ICC Player of the Month award for December 2021. The list includes young Indian batsman Mayank Agarwal for his brilliant exploits in the month of December.



Besides Mayank Agarwal, ICC also nominated New Zealand spinner Ajaz Patel and Australian left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc for the monthly award.



Agarwal featured in two test matches in the month of December 2021 and scored 276 runs. The cricketer scored two half-centuries and also smacked a century. Agarwal was also adjudged as the ?Player of the Match? in the second test match against New Zealand held in Mumbai?s Wankhede Stadium.



Moreover, in the ongoing test series against South Africa, Mayank Agarwal has scored 113 runs in two matches at a good average of 28.25.

New Zealand spinner Ajaz Patel has been a special mention in the ICC Player of the Month award. Patel breached a rare feat of picking up all ten wickets in a Test inning.



He achieved that against India in the Mumbai test. He picked a 10-wickets haul in the first innings while four wickets in the second innings to inscribe his name in the history books.



Patel scalped a massive 17 wickets in the two test matches series against India, last year.

English skipper Jos Buttler has been named alongside Adil Rashid, who were brilliant with their performance and helped England surge to the T20 World Cup glory. Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman was the standout performer in the month of April. The Southpaw played some fantastic knocks and helped his side win the games. The opening batter has looked a class apart in the ongoing ODI series against New Zealand. He scored two staggering centuries in the first game of the series and helped his side win. The fast bowler picked 10 wickets in the Melbourne Test including to five-wicket hauls in the game. He also was exceptional in Perth.?



Overall in two matches in December, Pat Cummins picked 13 wickets and also completed the 250 Test wickets in the longest format of the game. The Australian skipper also made handy contributions with the bat for the team and was on top of his game as a leader as well.&nbsp;

Apart from Pat Cummins's winnings, India women's cricketer Deepti Sharma also won ICC Women Player of the Month. The all-rounder was at her exceptional best with the bat and ball. She displayed great all-round performance with both bat and ball that helped the team win.?



Deepti Sharma slammed 165 runs and also picked 11 wickets in two Tests. Apart from this she also bagged a five-wicket haul in the second ODI against Australia. She played an important role in Team India?s success.

Jomel Warrican, the slow left-arm orthodox spinner of the West Indies has been crowned ICC Men's Player of the Month for January of 2025, thanks to his brilliant performance with the ball in the two-match Test Series versus Pakistan. 
The ICC Player of the Month award recognizes the outstanding individual displays and performances of the players at the highest level of Cricket and the nominees selected for the month of January were all spin bowlers who excelled across various formats of the game. 
Warrican faced tough competition from India's mystery leg spinner Varun Chakaravarthy and Noman Ali of Pakistan. The West Indian spinner delivered the best performance of his career with the ball versus the Shaheens and helped his team draw the two-match series. 
In the first Test-Match, the 32-year-old ended the match with figures of 10-101 to his name which also turned out to be the best bowling figures of his career in the longest format of the game and with the bat, he played an unbeaten knock of 31* runs. 
In the second match of the series, he carried forward his good momentum of the first contest into the second one and delivered yet another amazing performance, as he dismissed four Pakistani batters in the first inning and followed it up with a fifer in the second inning, ending the match with figures of 9-70.
In addition to his terrific performance with the ball, the 32-year-old also contributed 54 runs with the bat as the Windies marched their way to victory in the second encounter, thereby ensuring the series ended in a draw.  
Overall, Warrican scored a total of 85 runs at a good average of 42.50 and also claimed 19 scalps at an exceptional average of nine, earning him the Man-of-the-Series award.
