Bhuvneshwar Kumar (India's Probable Playin11 for ICC T20 World Cup 2021)

ICC Player of the Month: Bhuvneshwar Kumar and two other Indians nominated for the ICC Player of the Month Awards.

ICC Player of the Month: Indian speedster Bhuvneshwar Kumar along with two Indian women cricketers Punam Raut and Rajeshwari Gaikwad have been nominated for the ICC Player of the Month Award for their standout performances in the month of March.

Bhuvneshwar came after recovering from injury and exploited all the conditions to bring back his form in the international format. Playing against England, the speedster performed brilliantly in the white ball series.

In the three ODIs played between India and England last month, he scalped six wickets with an impressive economy of 4.65. In the five T20Is, the speedster picked four wickets at an economy of 6.38.

Besides, Bhuvneshwar Kumar in Men’s category, Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan and Zimbabwe’s Sean Williams are also nominated for the award.

Leggie Rashid Khan picked six wickets in the three games T20I series and also picked 11 wickets in the second Test match against Zimbabwe.

Sean Williams playing against Afghanistan amassed 264 runs and two wickets in the two test matches while he scored 45 runs in the three T20I games.

ICC Player of the Award for Women Cricketers:

In the Women’s category, Rajeshwari Gaikwad and Punam Raut of India and South Africa’s Lizelle Lee have been nominated.

Talking about the women cricketers, Rajashwari Gaikwad emerged as the highest wicket-taker in both the ODI and T20I series with eight and four wickets respectively.

Punam Raut became the highest run-scorer for India against South Africa in the five games ODI series. She scored 263 runs with a ton and two half-centuries.

South Africa’s Lizelle Lee also batted superbly in the India-South Africa series where she scored a century and two half-centuries to jump to the top of ICC Batting rankings.
