T20 World Cup 2022 Warm-Up Schedule, India to face New Zealand, Australia in Warm-ups: Team India is scheduled to face hosts Australia and New Zealand in its two warm-up matches in the upcoming all-important ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. The fixtures are announced by ICC on Thursday (8 September).

Rohit Sharma and Co will be up against defending champions Australia on 17th October at the Gabba Brisbane. In the second warm-up match, New Zealand will lock horns with India on the 19th October at the same venue.

The first warm-up fixture will be held between West Indies and the UAE at Melbourne’s Junction Oval. 

The ICC has confirmed that the spectators will not be permitted to attend the warm-up matches that will run for a period of 9 days, starting October 10.

Notably, the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 will kickstart on October 16 as Sri Lanka face Namibia in Round 1. Meanwhile, the Super 12s teams will start their campaign from 22nd October onwards. The first match of the Super 12s is between Australia and New Zealand. 

Team India will begin their run in the T20 World Cup 2022 on October 23 (Sunday) at Melbourne Cricket Club against arch-rival Pakistan.
