SA20 2025-26 is set to begin on December 26, 2025, and a total of six teams will be playing in this tournament. SA20 is one of the most popular T20 leagues in the world, and this is going to be the fourth edition of the SA20 League. MI Cape Town are the defending champions, and they will be playing the opening game of SA20 2025-26 against Joburg Super Kings.

A total of 34 matches, including playoffs and the final, will be played in SA20 2025-26 among six teams. Since the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is coming up, it will be an excellent opportunity for the players to find their form and get fully prepared before the tournament.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape have won the most titles; they have won two back-to-back titles in the first two seasons of SA20. SA20 2025-26 Format:

The format of SA20 is similar to the Indian Premier League (IPL); it will have the group-stage matches, then the top four teams will qualify for the playoffs. The top two teams will play Qualifier 1, and the winner will directly get into the SA20 Final, and the losing team will play Qualifier 2.

The 3rd and 4th spot teams from the SA20 group stage will play the Eliminator, and then the winner will play Qualifier 2 and the losing team will be eliminated.
