India’s historic comeback series win against the mighty Aussies might never have been possible had Rishabh Pant not resisted the opposition bowlers on the final day of the decider test match. The series was levelled at 1-1 and India was required to chase down a huge total of 329 on the final day of the 4th test to win the series and claim the Border Gavaskar trophy.
Just when things looked tough, Rishabh Pant took matters into his own hand and started to steer his innings wonderfully well. He counterattacked the opposition with his traditional strokeplay and smashed fantastic innings to take India home and register a famous 3-wicket victory. An innings through 11 short of a 100 was worth a lot more than that for sure.
