PCB finalises Mohammad Rizwan's replacement in T20Is, this player all set to become captain

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is all set to make a massive announcement related to the T20I captaincy of the team. As per the reports in Samaa TV, it is learned that Salman Ali Agha and Mohammad Haris are being considered for the role in the shortest format of the game. 

The reports claimed that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi will be taking the final decision. This means that Mohammad Rizwan's stint in the T20I is all set to be over, with the Pakistan National Cricket Team all set to undergo transition in the T20I Team. 

Since the last few days, there have been a lot of reports that claimed that Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and other senior players won't be part of the T20I setup anymore. The PCB is all set to give a platform to the consistent performers of domestic cricket.

Mohammad Rizwan, along with Babar Azam, came under massive scanner for their poor outing in ODIs as well as T20Is. One of the major talking points about them has been their strike rate, which has often cost the Pakistan National Cricket Team in some crucial encounters. 

However, with PCB all set to move on from them, the onus will be on Salman Agha or Mohammad Harris to take the two forward. They are two of the explosive batters in the Pakistan Cricket, and with their ability to change the game in a short span of time, they will be a perfect fit for the role.

The clear picture related to the T20I captaincy of the Pakistan National Cricket Team will come when the PCB announces the squad for the New Zealand T20Is. It will mark the beginning of a new era in the Pakistan Cricket and they would be hoping to stage a strong comeback. 

Pakistan National Cricket Team, since the last few months, have failed a massive downfall. In the recent ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Mohammad Rizwan-led side faced a group-stage exit and failed to win even a single game in the tournament despite being hosts.
