PAK vs NZ: Mohammad Rizwan likely to miss the remaining T20i's due to injury

PAK vs NZ: Pakistan’s National Men’s Cricket team have been dealt a severe blow as wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan is likely to miss the remaining two T20 International games against New Zealand due to a hamstring injury Rizwan suffered during the third T20i.

He got hurt while batting in the third t20i and the injury forced him to retire hurt.

According to Samaa.tv, the team doctors carried out a medical assessment of Mohammad Rizwan and post the conclusion of the assessment, the doctors advised the 31 year old to take rest from the remaining two games and go through a full rehabilitation in order to ensure a complete recovery.

Mohammad Rizwan’s absence will definitely be felt by the Shaheens, considering the kind of form the 31 year old is in. In the previous encounter against the Kiwis, Rizwan played a key role in the Men in Green’s dominant victory as he contributed in an excellent fashion with the bat and the gloves as well.

His outstanding form saw him become the fastest batter to score 3000 runs in the shortest format of the game, surpassing the likes of Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. He achieved this feat in just 79 innings which goes on to show his prowess as one of the best T20i batters in the world.

Before his injury, the Peshawar born player delivered match winning performances with the bat for the Shaheens on a regular basis. His performances have been crucial in Pakistan’s success in the shortest format of the game.

With Mohammad Rizwan unlikely to play in the remaining games, the Men in Green have to make some changes in their playing 11 as they look to bounce back in the series following their defeat in the third T20i.
