PAK vs NAM: Pakistan qualifies for Super 8 of T20 World Cup 2026; See Points table after match 36

Pakistan qualifed for Super 8 stage of T20 World Cup 2025 from Group A.

Pakistan became the last team to book their berth for Super 8 of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. They thumped Namibia by 102 runs at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo on Wednesday. Opting to bat, Pakistan piled up a massive total of 199 for three, and then ended Namibia’s innings on 97.

Pakistan lost Saim Ayub early with 40 on the board, but Sahibzada Farhan (100*) and captain Salman Agha (38) made up for the early loss and put pressure on Namibia bowlers. Then Farhan-Agha duo added 67 runs for second wicket and what unfolded after that surprised many.

Babar Azam wasn’t sent to bat with even Shadab Khan (36*) coming out to bat before him. The hero of the innings was Farhan, who stood tall in a pressure situation, as he hit a sensational hundred.

He carried his bat through and along with Khan added unbeaten 81-run stand that powered Pakistan to a total of 199 for three.

Louren Steennkamp (23:22b, 3x4, 1x6) looked in good touch and provided a decent start to Namibia’s innings, but after third over Pakistan took command of the game and picked four quick wickets.

Alexander Volschenk (20) fought hard, but Pakistan spinners proved too strong for the batters. Usman Tariq and Shadab Khan combined to pick seven wickets as Pakistan bundled out Namibia for 99, winning the game by 102 runs.
