What a day of cricket in Rawalpindi! A perfect test match day where bowlers were challenging right from the first ball and the batter had equally blunt responses.
Pakistan were way ahead when the day started and with a couple of early wickets, they were in a better position. The partnerships in the second session and the aggressive batting in the final session of the day opened up the match for Bangladesh.

Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam faced the challenge of surviving an hour of play yesterday, and the Bangladesh openers managed to do so without losing their wickets. They safely navigated 12 overs on the previous day and started the morning with a similarly cautious approach.
However, their resilience was short-lived as Naseem Shah made a significant breakthrough in just the fifth over of the morning session.
Skipper Shanto soon followed, finding his way back to the pavilion, leaving Bangladesh at 53 for 2. Opener Shadman Islam and Mominul Haque then built a solid partnership, adding 94 runs to the total. However, Khurram Shahzad struck again, claiming his second wicket by dismissing Mominul Haque(50).
Wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim held his ground at one end, but Shadman Islam lost his concentration and was bowled out by Muhammad Ali. Veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was unable to contribute significantly, as Saim Ayub dismissed him early.
Litton Das then entered the mix and his attacking innings gave Bangladesh a big push towards the end of the day. Das smashed Naseem Shah for 18 runs in an over towards the end of the day and reached his half-century with style.
