Vivo 2021: KL Rahul Hospitalised due to pain in his stomach, will miss a couple of games.

Vivo IPL 2021: (PBKS) skipper KL Rahul on Sunday complained of a severe stomach pain following which he has been hospitalised and will undergo surgery. Due to the same he will miss a couple of upcoming games for Punjab Kings.

According to the franchise, Rahul has been diagnosed with acute appendicitis and will miss the clash against (DC) on Sunday evening at Narendra Modi Stadium.

According to the reports, Punjab skipper Rahul is unlikely to return to the Cricket field for the remainder of the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier LEague (IPL).

?KL Rahul complained of a severe abdomen pain last night and after not responding to medication, he was taken to the emergency room for further tests which revealed that he was diagnosed with acute appendicitis. It will be resolved surgically and for safety measures he has been transferred to the hospital for the same.? Punjab Kings wrote in a tweet.

Rahul is the leading run-getter till now in the Vivo IPL 2021 with 331 runs from 7 games and at an average of 66.20.

PBKS is yet to reveal the stand-in skipper in absence of KL Rahul. As per the experts, Mayank Agarwal and Chris Gayle will be two options.

Punjab is right now placed at sixth spot in the points table with three wins in seven games.
