Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland T20I Tri-Series Schedule 2024 and Squad
To ace up their preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, Ireland, Netherlands and Scotland have decided to take part in the T20I tri-series, which begins on May 18. The Netherlands will host both Ireland and Scotland for the series in May 2024. The Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland T20I Tri series schedule has also been announced by the respective authorities, the details of which are provided below.
Ireland, who recently toured Afghanistan for an all-format series, will have a T20I-led with Pakistan before they take part in the T20I tri-series in Amstelveen. Meanwhile, Scotland and the Netherlands will have a final chance to hone their skills before the all-important ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
Both Scotland and the Netherlands have recently played ODI World Cup League 2 matches.
The hosts said that they are excited to bring the other two European sides and have a competitive tri-series before the all-important ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in June-July.
"We are excited to host this Tri-Series as part of our preparation for the T20 World Cup played in America and the West Indies in June," Roland Lefebvre, high-performance director at the KNCB (Royal Dutch Cricket Association), said. "Twenty teams will be competing in this year's event which makes this World Cup a truly global event, with more than a billion TV viewers worldwide. The Netherlands team will be aiming to emulate the success they had in Australia in 2022."
Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland T20I Tri-Series Schedule 2024
All three sides - Ireland, Netherlands and Scotland - will have two matches for each opponent during the T20I tri-series in pure round-robin fixtures. There will be no final.
The T20I Tri-series will begin with hosts, Netherlands taking on Scotland on May 18 2024 in Amstelveen. The Dutch will then take on Ireland in the second game, followed by Ireland vs Scotland in the third.
