Gujarat Titans (GT) played excellent cricket against Punjab Kings with both bat and ball however, Punjab Kings made a comeback in the middle overs and successfully chased the target of 200 runs. Skipper Shubman Gill played a superb inning of 89 runs whereas Noor Ahmed bowled phenomenally in this match but GT lost their second match of the tournament.

Gujarat Titans were playing their third home game of the TATA IPL 2024 against Punjab Kings however, they batted first in this match and had a decent start but later on, Skipper Shubman Gill played an exceptional knock of 89 runs in 43 balls. Gill’s responsible inning against PBKS led his team to a good total of 199 runs.
While batting first, GT scored 52 runs in the first six overs of the first inning with a loss of a wicket. However, Shiubman Gill was still on the crease and he was continuously building pressure on Punjab Kings bowlers from one end. Gill made small partnerships with Kane Williamson, Sai Sudharsan and Rahul Twetia.
At the end of 20 overs, Gujarat Titans made 199 runs on the scoreboard with a loss of only four wickets. In the second innings, Punjab Kings had a poor start as they lost a couple of wickets in the starting few overs of the inning. But, Prabhsimran Singh played a responsible inning of 35 runs in 24 balls and led PBKS back into the game. However, Shawshank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma played an impactful inning of 61 and 31 runs, respectively therefore Punjab Kings won their second match of the tournament.
Shawshank Singh scored 61 runs in 29 balls with a strike rate of 210.34 whereas Ashutosh Sharma scored 31 runs in 17 balls with 1 sixes and 3 fours in this match for Punjab Kings. From the Gujarat Titans bowling department, Noor Ahmed took two wickets whereas Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav and others took one wicket each.
