IPL 2023: After suffering two disappointing losses in their first two games of the season, Mumbai Indians finally had a win under their belt in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The Rohit Sharma-led side pounded the Delhi Capitals in a nail-bitter and won the game by the margin of 6 wickets. It’s fair to say that they looked in complete control with both bat and ball and outclassed the opposition to stage a dominant comeback.

One of the main reasons behind their win was the strong batting display of skipper Rohit Sharma and Tilak Varma. After Mumbai Indians bundled out Delhi Capitals for just 172 runs, the five-time champions then came out all guns blazing and batted staggeringly well.

MI came out all guns blazing and stitched 71 runs for the opening partnership before Ishan Kishan was run out for 31 runs. Tilak Varma was then promoted to No.3 and he batted with extreme class and made many stand and applaud him for his inning.

Varma and skipper Rohit took the game away from Delhi Capitals with their resounding partnership. The duo stitched a 61-run partnership for the team and oozed their class. While the skipper scored 41 runs in 29 balls with the help of 1 four and 4 sixes, the right-hander smashed 65 runs in 45 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes.
