Ravichandran Ashwin is the strongest player of the RR squad to contest against DC. Having been a part of the DC squad himself in the year 2020-21, he knows the possible strategies of the team quite well. He has always had a good record against DC’s opening batsman David Warner. The aggressive batsman has been dismissed multiple times by the Indian bowler and has had a low strike rate of 107.53 against Ashwin.

Trent Boult has had an incredible record with the ball against DC in the past matches. Just like R. Ashwin, he has also been an integral part of the DC camp in the past. Boult has dismissed DC’s right-handed opening batsman Prithvi Shaw thrice while conceding 28 runs from 25 deliveries.

Rovman Powell has had a good striking record against RR’s ace fast bowler, Trent Boult. He has smashed 45 runs against him while taking just 24 deliveries. His aggressive batting might go slow today, as Trent has dismissed him thrice in the past.

Shimron Hetmyer is another player who is now a part of the Rajasthan squad after being an integral part of DC. Hetmyer has not had a good experience against spin bowling, and Kuldeep Yadav can be a good option against him to keep the Caribbean Player’s bat silent.

DC will keep an eye on The Royals’ Captain Sanju Samson’s quick knocks and shall deploy their ace spin bowler Axar Patel against him. Sanju has had a low strike rate of 111.67 against him and has been dismissed twice by Axar.

The left-handed opening batsman David Warner is all set and is gearing up to practice a Reverse sweep shot against Ravichandran Ashwin in the hope of scoring high runs against him if he is given the ball to bowl in the powerplay.
