IPL 2023: KKR won by five runs, a fantastic spell by Varun Chakaravarthy, who took one wicket by also giving only 20 runs in four overs and defended nine runs in the last over. Rinku Singh and Nitish Rana have scored 46 and 42 runs, respectively.
Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen scored 41 and 36 runs, respectively, but Markram has played slow inning, whereas Klaasen was playing good shots. Marco Jansen and Natarajan took two wickets of KKR.
SRH batters need to improve their game:
In the Second Inning, SRH openers Abhishek Sharma and Mayank Agarwal both got out very early and followed by them Rahul Tripathi also got out by scoring just 20 runs in the hope of playing big shots as he was trying to hit every ball in Russell’s over despite knocked three boundaries that over.
Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen made an essential partnership for the 5th wicket of 70 runs. Klaasen was trying to maintain the strike rate by hitting boundaries but got out by scoring 36 runs in 20 balls with three sixes, whereas Markram was trying to build a partnership with players, but he did only with Klaasen and failed with others.
Markram has scored 41 runs in 40 balls with only four fours, a slow cricket by the SRH skipper. Abdul Samad fails to finish the match and scored only 21 runs.
A decent Performance by KKR Bowlers:
Shardul Thakur and Vaibhav Arora have taken two wickets each, whereas Harshit, Russell and Anukul took one wicket each. A decent performance came from KKR Bwolers, but Varun Chakaravarthy bowled a very fantastic spell and took one crucial wicket in the last over of the match of Abdul Samad. SRH needed nine runs in 6 balls, but Varun defended these runs, and KKR won the match.
KKR’s Skipper and Rinku led KKR to a decent Total:
In the First Inning, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who was the hero of the previous match, got out a golden duck in the 2nd over. Jason Roy scored 20 runs, but the inning was slow. KKR’s Skipper Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh both played well in the middle overs and made 61 runs partnership.
Rinku has scored 42 runs in 35 balls with four fours and one six, whereas Nitish Rana knocked 42 runs with a strike rate of 131.43. Andre Russell scored 24 runs, 15 balls, and knocked two sixes, and at the end, KKR set 171 runs on the scoreboard.
Marco Jansen’s Perfect Comeback:
Marco Jansen has taken two important wickets; this is a good comeback by him as he got early wickets and shifted the game’s momentum. Jansen bowled at an economy rate of 8.00. T. Natarajan took two wickets, whereas Karthik, Bhuvneshwar, Markram and Mayank took one wicket. More interesting, SRH used six bowlers in this match, and All of those took wickets, a good performance by SRH bowlers.
