IPL 2026 points table, most runs & wickets after SRH vs CSK, match 27
SRH vs CSK saw SRH winning the clash by 10 runs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad registered their third win of IPL 2026 and move into the top four of the points table. They defeated Chennai Super Kings by ten runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday. Put into bat, Hyderabad posted a total of 194 for nine, and restricted Chennai to 184 for eight.
SRH were off to a brutal start with the bat as Abhishek Sharma (59) hit a 15-ball half-century. Travis Head (23) supported him as well, and the duo put on 75 runs for the opening stand. Chennai pulled back the things brilliantly and didn’t let the batters score freely.
Heinrich Klaasen (59) held the fort in middle-overs and slammed a vital half-century. Thanks to his heroics, Hyderabad posted a total of 194 for nine. For Chennai, Anshul Kamboj and Jamie Overton picked three wickets each.
CSK lost Sanju Samson for just seven, while Ruturaj Gaikwad’s poor form continued. However, Ayush Mhatre (30) looked in a fabulous innings and kept Chennai in the chase. But a hamstring injury brought a lapse in concentration and his wicket changed the course of the game.
Sarfaraz Khan (25) and Dewald Brevis also fell in quick succession that left Chennai at 113 for five. Matthew Short (34) and Shivam Dube (21) kept their team in the hunt, as Chennai kept taking wickets at regular intervals. They managed 184 for eight and lost the game by ten runs.
