IPL 2023: Jonny Bairstow to miss IPL!

Jonny Bairstow to miss IPL: Huge blow for Punjab Kings ahead of IPL 2023 as England’s famous batsman Jonny Bairstow may miss the entire IPL this season as his cricket board denied granting him a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to participate in the high-profile T20 league, which begins on March 31.

The leg injury that Bairstow suffered in September last year is now healing. However, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) granted all-rounder Liam Livingstone permission to participate in the IPL after he recovered from knee and ankle injuries.

During the IPL auction, Punjab Kings had paid Rs 11.50 crores and Rs 6.75 crores, respectively, to acquire Livingstone and Bairstow. Sam Curran, another important English player for the Punjab team, cost the club almost as much as his two senior English teammates.

Livingstone (29), who suffered injuries to his knee and ankle, has been absent since the Rawalpindi Test in December. He did, however, actually participate in recent off-season training for the Lancashire County Cricket Club in Dubai and has now returned home. Although no formal announcement has been made regarding his participation in the IPL, reports indicate that Livingstone will be available throughout the entire season for Punjab Kings.
