As witnessed, Stokes didn’t make much of a difference to the team’s performance in the 2 games he played. In the first match, after coming from an injury, he only performed as a batsman and could only manage to score 7 runs from 6 deliveries after smashing a boundary. While in the second match at Chepauk, he again managed to put only eight runs on the board after playing 8 deliveries. With a strike rate of a hundred, he walked to the dugout after scoring only one boundary. He unexpectedly Bowled one over, where he ended up conceding 18 runs!
