IPL 2022 begins on the 26th of March. The festival of cricket will feature 10 teams. This eventually means that many Indian players are going to get an opportunity to showcase their talent. Many young players coming from small towns come to the greatest stage. Not only Indian but many international young players can do well too. This tournament is organized by the BCCI but it is a global scale tournament. Here is a look at the young players to watch out for in the tournament.

5) Marco Jansen is a Young Player to Watch Out for in IPL 2022:

This left-arm pacer discovered by the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2021 has now become the talk of the town. He was the leader of South Africa’s pace attack in the series against India. He can also tonk the ball in the death overs. Marco can bowl 2 to 3 good overs in the powerplay and can create trouble for the right-handers. He has a golden arm and has the knack for picking wickets. He will be a key player for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

4) N Tilak Varma:

Mumbai Indians always invest in one interesting player. They bought Pollard from Trinidad in 2010, Hardik from Baroda in 2015, Mayank Markande from Punjab in 2018, and many more players. This time their trump card is in the form of Tilak Varma. N Tilak Varma was an integral part of India’s under-19 team in the 2020 U-19 World Cup. He belongs to the batch of Ravi Bishnoi, Kartik Tyagi, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

3) Anuj Rawat/ Shahbaz Ahmed is a Young Player to Watch Out for in IPL 2022:

The RCB management has evidently backed both the above-mentioned players. Anuj Rawat comes from Delhi. He is an excellent batter and most importantly he is left-handed. Shahbaz Ahmed on the other hand comes from Bengal. Both the players have been groomed in the RCB camp for the past two years. With RCB requiring two Indian batters in the middle order, Shahbaz and Anuj will get many chances. In the videos released by the RCB management on their page, they are keen on playing Anuj Rawat as a keeper too.

2) Avesh Khan:

Avesh Khan, the break-through fast bowler has got his due now. He belongs to the batch of Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan, and Sarfaraz Khan. Khan has been working very hard in the domestic circuit. He also was associated with the national team as a net bowler in the past few months. After making his national team debut against Sri Lanka, Avesh will be keen on making it to the flight for Australia for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. He has been picked by the Lucknow Super Giants.

Honorable Mentions:

  1. Umran Malik
  2. Arshdeep Singh

1) Ravi Bishnoi is a Young Player to Watch Out for in IPL 2022:

This leg-spinner from Rajasthan has made a very strong case for himself after exceptional performances in the limited opportunities. Ravi Bishnoi bowls 52% wrong-uns and out-foxes the batsmen. Ravi doesn’t fly the ball much but his fast round-arm action makes it difficult to pick him. Bishnoi has been retained by Lucknow Super Giants and will lead their spin attack.
