India vs Sri Lanka Pink Ball test to be played with 100% crowd capacity: Upcoming India vs Sri Lanka Pink Ball test, which will also be the final test of the two matches series, to be staged in Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium will be held with 100 per cent crowd attendance. The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) on Thursday confirmed the development following improvement in the Covid situation in Karnataka.

Earlier, it was decided that only a 50 per cent crowd will be allowed in the stadium to cheer for the team, however, with encouraging signs in the state of Karnataka and no additional restrictions, the state cricket association revisited its decision and opened the gates for all the fans.

The added sales of 50 per cent match tickets will be available at the ground itself, the cricket association confirmed.

“KSCA is happy to inform you that there has been very good response for viewership of the India vs Sri Lanka Day-Night Test cricket match being played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore from March 12-16, 2022.

“Considering the high volume response and since there are no further restrictions for spectators, KSCA will be opening up sale of tickets for full capacity of the stadium. The additional capacity of tickets will be made available through Box Office sale on Friday, 11th March 2022 from 10 AM to 7 PM,” the statement read.

Rohit Sharma-led team India will lock horns against Dimuth Karunarathne-led Sri Lanka in the second test match, starting March 12. Bangalore’s M Chinnaswamy will host its first Day/Night fixture with the pink ball.

Wait for Virat Kohli’s 71st Century:

Bangalore is Virat Kohli’s second home, where he was earlier scheduled to play his landmark 100th test, however, a few tweaks were made in the schedule by the BCCI which shifted Virat’s 100th test appearance to Mohali.

For a long time since November 2019, fans have been eagerly waiting for Virat Kohli to bring up his 71st century. The former Indian skipper has often found a way to score half-centuries often, but he eventually ends up giving his wicket.

It will be interesting to watch, if Virat can score his long-standing 71st century in his second home, Bangalore on March 12.

Team India defeated Sri Lanka in the opening Test in Mohali by a huge margin of 222 runs and an innings. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was adjudged as the Player of the Match for his sensational 175 runs knock along with nine wickets in the match.
