Hardik Pandya winning shot in ASIA Cup 2022 against Pakistan

India VS Pakistan cricket games are always exciting. One such exciting encounter took place in Asia Cup 2022 on Sunday night. India won the game by 5 wickets to spare and with 2 balls remaining. But Pakistan showed great valor and courage. The team fought till the very end even with a low score on board. The Pakistan bowlers were good but it was the Indian bowlers who impressed more. So, how did the game go down? Here is an in-depth look:

India VS Pakistan: 1st Innings, Pakistan Batting:

After winning the toss, Rohit Sharma sent the men in green to bat. The decision was wise as the team was not aware of how the pitch was playing. The game started with a very happening first over from Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The ball was swinging by a meter. He was making it tough for Babar and Rizwan. The first blow was that of Babar Azam to a short ball from Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Babar tried to pull it but ended up giving it to Arshdeep Singh at short fine leg.

The wickets kept consistently tumbling down. The Pakistan lineup never really looked settled. The short balls were taking a test of the batters. Avesh Khan took Fakhar Zaman, and Hardik Pandya also joined the party. After Iftikar Ahmed departed the scoreboard said 83-3. Hardik Pandya made two lusty blows and shattered the score down to 96-5. It was just the wagging tail at the end that took Pakistan to 147. Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar wrapped the tail up too.

India VS Pakistan: 2nd Innings, India Batting:

The Indian batting also started on a sour note. KL Rahul departed as he dragged back one ball onto his stumps. The scoreboard read 1-1. Next into bat was Virat alongside Rohit. They both had tough times on the pitch. The ball was swinging and Naseem Shah was bowling very well. Rohit departed by scoring 12 runs off 18 balls. He had a bad day at work. But Virat was steady at the other end. Jadeja has floated up the order. He walked in at number 4 as the left-hander. Surya and Virat lost their wickets leaving India stranded at 89-4 but Jaddu and Hardik recovered from then on.

They did the cleanup job by taking the game very deep. Hardik did an MS Dhoni-like finish to the game by sealing the deal with a six! India finished for 148-5 with 2 balls to spare.
